About me

I’m Hayley, a photographer and filmmaker, using my camera to amplify the stories of creative people, places, performances and events Based in Birmingham, you’ll find me working across the Midlands, and I’m happy to travel UK-wide. My work includes:

  • Headshots and portraits for actors, dancers, small business owners, creatives and corporate clients. This can be at my peaceful South Birmingham studio space or on location.

  • Production photography for theatre & dance

  • Event and documentary photography for arts, cultural, charity and corporate clients

  • Tailored projects with individuals, charities and businesses, working to a specific creative brief for
    advertising, documentary or editorial purposes

How it started

As long as I can remember, I’ve loved taking photos. I have fond memories of my 10th birthday, being delighted by a gift of a shiny blue Fujifilm digital camera, which of course I
then took everywhere. Cut to almost 20 years later and I’m still here, camera in hand (now with a slightly updated model) working with a brilliant range of clients. With a versatile approach, care and connection are central to my work, and I love photographing people and projects that are making a positive impact on the world. Whether it’s one off headshot session, event or performance, or a longer term programme that I’m documenting, I love connecting with people through photography. Whatever your project, I promise to bring attention, creativity, craft and dedication, providing striking, high quality images that tell your story.

Exhibited work

Outside of my commercial work, I love exploring new approaches and developing
my own creative practice. Exhibited work includes:

  • RPS (Royal Photographic Society) Bullring Markets Street Photography Exhibition 2026

  • Stories of Making & Migration, a short film created as part of a digital commission from
Craftspace, exhibited at the Made In the Middle Touring Exhibition 2025-26, across 5 locations

  • RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists) Photography Prize Exhibition 2023

  • Reworlding, an immersive photography exhibition at Centrala Space, August 2022

  • Gallery 37 Photography Residency and Exhibition, August 2021
